PFH Rap Raks are made in Australia to an exceptional standard. The use of high quality stainless steel ensures they will last much longer than aluminium descenders, even in the harshest conditions.
The key benefit of a rappel rack is that the abseil rope travels through the descender in a straight line, preventing rope twist.
PFH Rap Raks are available in three sizes, with 3, 4 and 6 gates. The 4 and 6 gate versions have an added locking plate at the top which allows for quick and easy lock-off. They also offer a greater range of pre-set friction levels.
The manufacturer recommends the 4-bar Rap Rak for small to average weight people carrying minimal gear. It is not recommended for single rope use. The 6-bar Rap Rack is recommended for average to heavy people and is suitable for single rope use.
All three sizes come with a breaking strength of 1,100kg and can be used on ropes between 9 and 11mm in diametre.
